Uleiul de cocos

Cocos

Uleiul de cocos este foarte popular in alimentatia/dieta LCHF si este o sursa excelenta de grasimi. El are proprietatea de a creste ritmul arderii grasimilor corporale, favorizeaza metabolismul si are proprietati antiinflamatoare. Distributia de acizi grasi in uleiul de cocos este unica pentru acest produs, el nefiind stocat in organism sub forma de grasimi, ci fiind convertit in energie pentru celule.

Uleiul de cocos pe care il putem cumpara astazi se produce prin trei metode:
– prin presarea la rece
– prin presarea la cald
– prin extragere/rafinare.

Cel mai sanatos ulei de cocos si cel mai indicat pentru gatit este cel presat la rece. Cumparati doar acest tip si incercati sa gasiti variante ecologice. Uleiul presat la rece pastreaza aminoacizii esentiali si vitaminele sensibile la caldura. El are o culoare alba sau galbuie spre alb. Consistenta este solida, ca cea a unturei la temperatura camerei, desi este un ulei, el devenind lichid prin incalzire.

Uleiul de cocos este foarte usor de asimilat si de metabolizat de catre organism, el avand o serie de efecte benefice demonstrate: creste imunitatea organismului, scade colesterolul rau si trigliceridele, are proprietati antimicrobiene, antivirale, poate regla activitatea glandei tiroide.

Uleiul de cocos si grasimea din cocos inseamna acelasi lucru. Tarile producatoare de ulei de cocos au un climat cald astfel incat uleiul are o consistenta lichida si se vinde in sticle. In Romania se vinde la borcan si are o consistenta solida. Uleiul de cocos este recomandat la gatit deoarece nu se oxideaza decat la temperaturi de peste 180 de grade.

Uleiul de cocos are mai multe intrebuintari, el este atat un aliment cat si un medicament sau un produs de infrumusetare.
Exista pe piata variante de ulei fara gust si/sau miros si variante in care atat gustul cat si mirosul discret de cocos se pastreaza. La gatit il puteti folosi pe oricare dintre ele, in functie de rezultatul final pe care doriti sa il obtineti.

De-a lungul timpului uleiul de cocos a capatat o reputatie proasta nemeritata deoarece a fost in mod gresit legat de grasimile trans. Acum cercetatorii stiu ca acizii grasi continuti in mod unic doar in nuca de cocos nu sunt stocati in organism sub forma de grasime ci sunt convertiti in energie pentru celule. De asemenea se stie ca tensiunea arteriala, problemele cardiace si niveluri anormale ale grasimilor in sange sunt inexistente in cadrul populatiilor ce folosesc ulei de cocos in mod traditional.
